After working very hard the sun finally managed to burn through the clouds/fog late this morning and the mountains starting peeking through. A dreary morning turned into a beautiful sunny fall afternoon.
Sunny Fall afternoons are a great time for a hike in the mountains. Lots of things for kids to explore and room to run off some of that neverending kid energy.
This lovely building used to be the train station when passenger trains came through Fernie. Now it is the Fernie Art Station with a restaurant, galleries, studios and workshops. The lots infront and beside the station are often used for celebrations like the Taste of Fernie this past weekend and the TransRockies finish in August.
The kids are back in school and things are a little quieter in Fernie now but there is still lots of great hiking, biking, golfing and fishing to be done.
