I'm just back from attending the London Ski Show and boy is it good to be home! Fernie welcomed me with snow and it is snowing pretty hard right now, with more in the forecast all week. The ski resort is boasting 70cm's at the top of White Pass Lift. This weather system seems to be all over the west. This morning on CBC radio I heard that Colorado, Utah and Nebraska were also getting hammered. This looks to be a good start to a great ski season boys and girls! Hope to see you here in Fernie enjoying what it is known for best.....the snow and the people! :)

Woke up to snow in my yard this morning. The mountains are out there somewhere - with lots more snow on them. Winter is definitely early this year.

We had a beautiful Thanksgiving Weekend here in Fernie, even with the below normal temperatures! It was wild - minus 15 Monday morning with green broad leaves still on the trees! I managed to get out on my bike 2 out of the 3 days over the long weekend. One definitely had to bundle up, and I even left my helmet at home and had my warmest winter toque that I own on! Oh well, at least the sun was shining. I met a lot of other people enjoying the outdoors as well. There is snow in the forecast and they are calling for an early winter.......that definitely seems to be the case here in Fernie!
