Well it's been another great week of skiing. Island Lake has had epic days and the resort is in excellent condition. New Year's Eve is coming and we are seeing miles of smiles from all of the visitors in town.

Ski with Santa & Photos
Enjoy holiday cheer as Fernie Alpine Resort welcomes Santa to the slopes!
Come out and ski with Santa! Santa will be on the slopes of the Mighty Moose, Deer and Elk Chairs from 10am to 12pm. Then come down to the base area and get your picture taken with Santa from 12pm to 2pm. Don't worry about bringing a camera, Santa's helpers will take the photo and email it to you! PHOTOS ARE FREE and the event is open to all ages!!





Saturday, December 26, 2009 - Sunday, December 27, 2009:
Live Music @ Griz Bar - Surf Dragons
There may be snow outside but come inside the Griz Bar and enjoy some surf inspired rock from the Surf Dragons. They will be playing on Saturday from 3pm-6pm and 8pm-11pm as well as Sunday from 3pm-6pm.

New Year's Eve Family Fun Event
Come out and celebrate the new year with the entire family! Join us from 6pm-9pm for night skiing on the Mighty Moose (lift ticket required) and a variety of FREE family activities in the base area. Activities that night include a fire pit complete with hot chocolate and arts & crafts. The night wraps up with a family new years count down at 9pm. Activities are free of charge so bring the family out and ring in 2010 at Fernie Alpine Resort.




Thursday, December 31, 2009:
New Year's Eve Griz Party
Ring in the New Year at the hottest party in Fernie! Join us at our legendary Griz Bar as we celebrate the start of 2010 with a toast at midnight and live music from the Todd Sellecks! Doors will open at 8:30pm and this is a 19+ party.
Tickets are only $35+GST and include a champagne toast at midnight! Tickets are now on sale at Guest Services! This event sells out every year so get yours before they are gone!
